The European Commission, under the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, invites Vocational Education and Training (VET) stakeholders to attend a webinar on 29 March 2023 to explain how the European Vocational Skills Week (EVSW) will unfold in the framework of the European Year of Skills.

The European Year of Skills (EYS) is expected to provide fresh impetus to achieve the EU 2030 social targets of at least 60% of adults in training every year, and at least 78% in employment. The programme throughout the year will include a wide range of activities and will aim to connect the dots between initiatives and actions at EU, national, regional and local levels.

The importance of VET will be underlined through this initiative and is a key facet of Europe’s efforts to respond to economic, climate and social challenges. VET equips people with the skills they need to pursue the employment opportunities of today and of the future and the EVSW will be held in October 2023.
