Webinar on Training and Upskilling Driving Business Growth

The METIS team invites stakeholders to attend a webinar on 22 May 2023 to hear experts speak on the importance of training and upskilling in driving business growth.

With the upcoming European Chips Act, the EU wishes to tackle the skills shortage, attract new talent and support the emergence of a skilled workforce in the bloc. The METIS project implements a new strategic approach to sectoral cooperation on skills for microelectronics by involving the key players across the industry, education and training, and regulatory/certification bodies.

This diverse group will be represented during the webinar, with speakers from TU Graz, imec, dresden chip academy, Infineon Technologies Austria, CIMEA-NARIC, in addition to SEMI Europe.

During this webinar, attendees will learn more about:

  • The METIS catalogue of courses, including trainings in the four main areas of microelectronics (from Introduction to Semiconductors, to packaging technology, AI and many more).
  • Concrete examples of courses and experiences by education and training providers and their students/trainers
  • Long-term opportunities offered by METIS value added resources.

The webinar will take place at 11:00 CET on 22 May and the link to attend this can be found here.
